Hey, i was just wondering, so i created a fortnite montage and used the song “sunset lover” i think the name is as my voiceover ive restrained from posting it and was wondering if what i did is alright that using that song is alright over a clip i made
and want to make sure it cant get me in trouble in any way.

I sincerely doubt Microsoft/Xbox will notice. There are lawyers though that look for this to ensure their clients property is protected and they collect royalties owed to the client.

Ah thanks that was fast, but the clip isnt going to gain me money its just like a regular clip on xbox just with music in it, will xbox have a problem with it?

Technically if that song is copyrighted by someone then yes you can have a legal issue if they find out you used it without permission.

Since it has already been redeemed, phone/chat support would be the only ones who could do anything about it. So you could try contacting them again, but usually once a code has been redeemed there is no way to exchange it for something else.

so there’s nothing I can do..... there goes my 17000 points for nothing :/
