I need help speaking to someone about accessing an old account.

I tried the support options and it will not allow me to contact anyone. How do I reach someone to fix an old account?

To add an edit: I was an xbox only gamer since the beginning. Somehow a decade ago my old gamertag got swooped up in some widespread account banning which I was not part of breaking any of the ToS. When I sign in now it just says banned account yet the enforcement page says no history is suspensions or issues. How do I reach someone somewhere to get this fixed?

Unfortunately, you can't. The enforcement team are the only ones who handle bans. They've recently updated the enforcement site so older bans don't always show up. Even so, if the ban was issued over 12 months ago, it would not be eligible for a case review.

Hey there Hooty! Generally speaking if you don't have access to these old accounts then there isn't anything we can do to override that. As you said, these things are in place for security reasons, and if we simply override them when someone asks, then they
don't hold a lot of weight. I would recommend trying to contact phone support again to talk to an agent, and if they cannot help you, you may need to create a new account to gain access to these features. Let me know, thanks!
