I need help removing a guest pin on my account I didn’t set

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your PIN. If you’ve forgotten your PIN and can’t access restricted console features, follow these steps:

When you’re prompted to enter your PIN on the console, enter any 6-digit combination three times.

Enter your Microsoft account password when prompted.

Select Make a new PIN.

Enter a new PIN, and then enter it again to confirm.

Unfortunately it does not resolve things.

If I try and change guest key it says I first must remove guest key.

But if I try and remove guest key then when I get to ‘settings’-‘system’-‘signed out content restrictions’ it says I need an adult account.

But If I try and ‘add new’ ie add a new adult account I need my guest key.

Hence being massively stuck!

Any further help will be greatly appreciated

Have you tried to set a PIN code for your account login?

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN > Create my PIN.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN > Change my sign-in & security preferences. Choose Ask for my PIN or Lock it down to use the default security settings.

With regards to resetting your Xbox PIN, if you forgot your previous PIN yes you will need to make a new PIN first. Once you created a new PIN, you can then manage your PIN via settings to remove it if you don't wish to have one.

After making a new PIN, just Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN > Delete my PIN if you wish to remove it. But for me, I would suggest to have one for your console specially if there are other people using your console just so you have a peace of mind your account is secured.

To change the PIN, you must first delete the current one by following the steps indicated in the previous official link,

Remove the PIN Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN > Remove my PIN.

And then create the new one in the same way.

Create a PIN code Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Go to Profile and system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN > Create my PIN.

Type a six-digit PIN and re-enter it to confirm.
