I need help recovering my password with two step authenticator

I followed the steps and after entering in the verification code, two step authentication is still required with the second step using the auth app for the code. Again I am out of luck due to two step authentication and not having the auth app.

The first thing is to enter information that the account has, in case a phone number or card has been deleted, you should simply omit that information and not add it to the form. That said, you can enter the following link:

Another thing to keep in mind is that accounts with the 2-step factor activated do not usually recover, sometimes you are not very lucky, but hope is the last thing you lose, so try the form, which is the only manner.

Did you enable two-step authentication? (through Microsoft Authenticator or SMS code).

The Xbox 360 doesn't support 2FA, so you will need to create an app password for it.

Is this an Xbox 360? And does the Microsoft Account have two factor authentication (2FA)? If that's the case, it might be that you need to use an App Password to log back in.

The steps here outline what needs to be done to get that account back on an Xbox 360 using an App Password.

Also do you have a "parent" account that has his account added as a child in the Microsoft Account family?
