I need help getting to my gamertag account

When I first got my Xbox I set up a profile and got Live for it. I added another gamertag to it that's not on Live. My daughter took the Xbox with her when she moved out and I want to access the gamertag that's not on Live so I can set it up for me, it has a lot stored on it.

I logged into my new Xbox with the old email address I used and I see the original account, but not the other one I created. I tried creating a new account but it won't let me pick that gamertag. How can I get to it so I can put it on my new Xbox and make it a Live account?

I did not understand, my friend. A Xbox profile is part of your Microsoft account. If you created (or changed) a Xbox profile gamertag, it should still be associated with its Microsoft account. Are you sure you are signing in with the correct Microsoft account?

If you created another Xbox profile (besides the one you already had on your old Microsoft account), it got associated with other Microsoft account, since you cannot have two Xbox profiles in one Microsoft account.

If I misunderstood something here, please let me know.

Also, if he hasn't logged into any Microsoft services in 2 years, the account is likely gone

Hi, sorry but you can not figure out what email is attached to the gamertag you want. You either know it or you can't log into it.

Sorry, but you'll have to pay the $10 to change your tag. Perhaps this time get your mother's input on how she likes it.

Support would be the only ones who could do anything if possible, but generally there's nothing that can be done unfortunately.
