How to Stream your XBOX One games from anywhere

Can anyone help with getting me setup for streaming remotely. I set up my dynamic DNS through "username".mynetgear.com. I ping my no-ip account and it replys fine. When I open the xbox one app and add my xbox static ip address it doesn't find it. Am I missing a step after I ping my no-ip account? Is there something I need to do with ports? I opened 5050, 4838 and 49000-65000 to my Xbox One static IP address. Don't know what else I need to do. Not a computer science major

It can only be obtained via network settings on your console not unless your router/gateway's software can provide a list of devices connected to it with their IP address assigned.

The service alert icon isn't something that you get rid of. It means that there is an ongoing issue with the LIVE service and it can be viewed
here. This particular service alert shouldn't hurt any sort of online play as it's only related to the support site and the ability to use the Chat function at the moment.

never mind i kinda fixed and now i found my my password and name to the router but now i have a new problem how do i get rid of the service alert icon.my port is also open.

The 169.254 series address is chosen at random when the Actiontec gateway is not assigning an IP address.... and it won't connect to the Actiontec under those circumstances when DHCP fails to work (even though, as you said, it is turned on).

A sequential power cycle is the first step here, and is NOT a complete hard reset:

1) turn off the Xbox then

2) unplug power from the Actiontec.

3) Wait at least 30 secs then replug the Actiontec power.

5) Wait 'til the light on the front of the Actiontec which says ONLINE, READY, or DSL is on solid (not flashing), then turn on the Xbox.

If the problem persists, please let us know so we may work on this further.
