    I need help changing a child account to an adult account


    So about two years ago I sold my friend my Xbox One, and helped him make an account with me being the "parent" and him being the "child". Well now he is experiencing issues with playing certain games, being told that he is "restricted" from playing them,
    however I have put no restrictions on his account. Now we are trying to change his account status from child to adult, and we are having no luck (and his birthdate says that he should be an adult); and I don't want to remove him from my family because we tried
    that once and it deleted his account. If anyone could explain to me on how to do this, I would really appreciate it.

    I need help, I have a child on an adult account, and I need to restrict his Internet Access to that of a child. Not sure where to go in my account to restrict Adult Content. Please help.

    Cross-platform for child accounts don't work, no matter what settings I set

    The cross-platform setting does not enable on a child account.

    I have tried several options including:

    • Account setup as a child in the MS family account and Xbox
    • Account setup as a child in the MS family account but the Xbox settings all set to adult/unrestricted
    • Account setup with over 18 Date of Birth in the MS family account but still a Child and the Xbox settings all set to adult/unrestricted
    • Account setup as Adult in the MS family account and Xbox settings all set to adult/unrestricted
    • Changing the child account to Adult and Xbox settings all set to adult/unrestricted.
    Can someone help me how to set up my kid's accounts so they can play together?

    They can only do it on adult account not a child account sorry, Even if the parent gives permission the account needs to be an adult not a child, sorry it is the way the account secuirty is set up. Also you cannot change an child account to an adult due
    to it set to date of birth when signing up I hope this helps :D.

    The adult account need to upgrade to adult or wait until the child account becomes adult in prder to change it...

    Being the organizer of a Microsoft family doesn't change the child status of the account, the family organizer needs to be an adult account the child account must be added as a child account thst will allow the adult account to manage this settings

    You can't exactly change a child account to an adult account until the child has actually turned 18. However, you can change their permissions. You need to log into the adult account, and under family settings, you can change the permissions of your child's
    account.

    You cannot change the account created as an adult account down to a child account. It needed to be created as a child account from the get go.
