I lost my Microsoft email for Minecraft due to reducing to Windows 10

I do understand the urgency of you wanting to find other ways for this issue of yours in regards with your account that has your plan for Minecraft. We are very glad to help you out to find some of the best possible options that we can find and share to you as well.

We just want to set your proper expectations on this that we here on Microsoft Community we do have limited resources here on our end for specific accounts that we can check to isolate since what we can only provide it to find possible options that we can share to you as well. If issue do still persist, there are someone knowledgeable on what they can do and as well as check your account as well thoroughly. But before anything else, let us try to see what we can do for us to check and perhaps recover your account.



To recover your account, please and try these steps:

• Use a New InPrivate Window for this if you will use your browser to sign in to clear all cache histories.
  
• Go to the Xbox website and click on the "Sign in" button located at the top right corner of the page.
  
• Enter the email address and password associated with your account and click on the "Sign in" button.
  
• If you are unable to sign in, click on the "Forgot password" link and follow the prompts to reset your password.
  
• Once you have successfully signed in, you should be able to access your gaming account.
  

For a heads up, ideally if the account will be missing on your device, actually if the plan or game especially for Minecraft that you have if you purchase it using your main email account, automatically that license of the game or even other games if you use your Microsoft Account it will permanently be tied on that account. Even switching to other devices on PC or Xbox Console. If you sign in your account that has all the licenses it will be attached and associated specifically on that account.

When you redeemed your Java Minecraft on Mojang, you have gotten a 5x5 code to redeem Minecraft on the Windows 10 store.

This redemption is a separate service of your Mojang account, and it's possible to use a Microsoft Account email that is different from your Mojang account email.

Mojang (which gives you Java Minecraft) is separate from the Microsoft Windows Store App, which uses a Microsoft Account email when you redeemed that 5x5 code.

After redemption of that code, the Windows 10 Minecraft is tied to the Microsoft Account email you used on your Windows 10 PC. From then on, you don't really need the Mojang account anymore, if you only want to play on Windows 10. You will then get the game
from the Windows 10 store only, with the E-Mail account you used on the Windows 10 store during code redemption.

So make sure you are signed in with the Microsoft Account email (which might not necessarily be the Mojang account email) when you use the Windows 10 Store app to re-download your Windows 10 Minecraft again.

Apologies for the delayed response as I was looking for solutions to your issue with Minecraft for Windows 10. The reason you are getting the trial mode of Minecraft when launching the game could be due to the Microsoft account email you are using. Please confirm that you are using the correct email when signing into the Windows 10 store and launching Minecraft? Customers who purchased the Oculus version were given an option to move to the Windows 10 version as the Minecraft VR has been retired from the Oculus store. Here is how to sign in/out of the Windows 10 store.

How to switch accounts on Windows 10 store

1) Open Windows store

2) Click on the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the app

3) click on the profile again and choose to sign-out, if the email is incorrect

I would uninstall Minecraft windows 10, and if you still have the Oculus one installed, I would remove it. This issue is usually related to logging into Minecraft with the wrong email account.
