    Recently when I was hopping on MCC to work on a few Reach achievements with my friend, I got a message from Xbox that essentially said "purchase a subscription or sign in with the account that purchased this game" when trying to access the Reach campaign menus. After getting this message, I tried the following:

    1) Re-launched the game

    2) Signed in and out of my Xbox account

    3) Verified that my Live subscription was active (good through August)

    4) Restarted my console

    5) Verified that all my MCC content was installed on the same hard drive (all on internal)

    6) Verified that Halo: Reach shows as installed on the MCC Add-On store page

    7) Attempted to uninstall and re-install Halo: Reach for MCC

    When I uninstalled the add-on in that last step, I found that the game was completely unavailable for me to download again. Xbox wants me to either purchase Game Pass or buy the game again for $10. Now, that $10 is not a big deal, but I have had access to Reach for years now with no issues and I just want Xbox to give it back to me.

    Even a cursory glance at my account will obviously show that I've played the game extensively. I've never once had any Game Pass subscription and I have fewer than 50 achievements left to go for MCC. Within the last few weeks, I earned the LASO achievement for Halo: Reach specifically. The 360 version of Reach is available for me to download (or at least it was when I last checked), but the MCC add-on is still out of my reach.

    I originally pre-ordered MCC and have been playing it since launch day. I don't recall if I bought the Halo: Reach add-on or if it was gifted like ODST was for "early adopters", but regardless, I shouldn't be suddenly losing access after all this time. I can play ODST just fine.

    Please Xbox, restore the Halo: Reach add-on for MCC to my account. My gamer tag is .

    Try to remove and re-add your profile

    Add or remove an Xbox profile | Xbox Support

    Games are usually installed automatically on your home console. For auto installs, you must set your power mode to Instant-on and, under Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates & downloads, select Keep my games & apps up to date.

    To find your games or add ons:

    1. Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide, and then select My games & apps > See all.
    2. In the games list, make sure the filter is set to All console types. If you don't see your game or add-on, select Manage and see if it appears under Queue or Updates.

    Halo MCC and DLCs?

    Hello chrisgerrad1,

    Thank you for confirming. Halo: Combat Evolved does require Halo: The Master Chief Collection in order to play. Combat Evolved acts as an add-on of sorts for the Master Chief Collection. You will need the full purchase of the Master Chief Collection in order to own all the titles within the package.

    XBox1 playing discs, not online

    Halo Reach is not on the Master Chief Collection disc, only the Halo CE, 2, 3 & 4 are. If you want to play Halo reach, then you can purchase the dlc for the Master Chief Collection or download the Backward Compatible version.
