    I lag when I play with friends but not on my own


    Recently everytime I’ve been playing with my friend on Warzone I’ve been getting bad lag, but when I play on my own I don’t lag at all. I don’t understand how this is possible as we’re both in the UK, we’ve tried playing on each other’s servers but same issue happens. I’ve never lagged when just playing with her and not on my own, normally if I lag at any point it happens whether I’m on my own or not. Can someone please help?

    Hi y0itsdanni, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    To fix this, kindly perform an extended power cycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

    1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

    3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

    Also, if that didn't work and you can try to play with your friend using a different network connection to test it out that would be great.

    Ok mate, first i need you to do a few things:

    First go to http://www.speedtest.net and run it a couple of times throughout the day. Report the PING, Download and upload speed here and i will have a look

    If I want to work on my KDR I will play alone, if I want to work on my W/L I will play with friends. For what ever reason when I play with my friends I always have a lagging connection.

    this unfortunately is the best way , set connection type to "BEST" and play on your own
