    I downloaded it earlier today, but when I tried launching the game, it kept crashing and the application would only be open for a second. I looked it up and there was no solution so I just uninstalled, but when I tried reinstalling, if the Xbox app wasn't
    focused 24/7 it would pause the installation and give me the error code. Also when it was focused and installing, over a little bit, my download speed would drop drastically until I would pause and resume the download. It is paused right now at 50% because
    I doubt it will work if it does download. I have restarted my pc 3 times with no result. I have tried some other solutions but none of them worked. This is the first time this has happened.

    Missing/corrupt DLL files or registry keys, incomplete updates, or malware infections may be some of the reasons behind this error.
    This is a load of bull, and none of the rote 'fixes' have any effect; As far as I can tell the error code given has very little (if anything) to do with the actual error.

    I, and many others are having the same issue, if the xbox app does not have focus while downloading you may get this error after a few minutes and have to manually resume the download. Luckily I have not yet had any issue getting a game to install and run once
    it has eventually finished downloading.

    If any of the microsoft team could actually be bothered to do something and investigate the problem it would be good, but I wouldn't hold my breath. It's been years since you get anything other than 'I would try updating your system' or 'try restoring
    windows' out of them. Another thread about the same issue literally
    got an 'it works on my machine' response from from a professed "Xbox Ambassador".

    Personally, I don't expect this will ever be fixed.

    Why I cannot install Forza Horizon 4

    Thanks for the response, it seems to force me to download "Forza Horizon 4" first. When I click pause it's download and then try to start download on "Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition" it stays at "Downloading" and starts Downloading process of "Forza Horizon 4". I also tried logging into my account on different computer which worked.
