    Hey I was wondering this aswell. I want to be able to be in an xbl party while I play, would this be possible? If I join the party before I start the game will it keep me in the party and just let me not access the xbl menu, or will it kick me off xbl?

    the party chat is still messed , when you get this error you have to try to exit from the party then join it again if this don't work you can try to start a new party chat , i hope they will fix it soon

    Cannot join specific friend in games or parties

    Are you in a Party when trying to perform this action? I have encountered issues where if you are in a party you cannot join each others game. This has to do with a firewall issue I believe. Just trying to help trouble shoot this.

    Having the exact same problem! I cannot start a party, I cannot join a party and I cannot view parties. I cannot view my social feed, change my status to appear online or access key Xbox live settings. I keep receiving the [0x800C0008] error code when I
    try to start parties and "There is a temporary problem with the service. Please try again." when trying to access Xbox live settings.
