I keep getting Error 0x80a40019 when trying to add a New Account to my Xbox Series X

Hi All,

I've been trying to add a new account onto my xbox (mostly for using GP trial). But i keep getting this error - i.e. I can't add any new accounts.

I can however log into my existing account just fine.

I've tried restarting my modem and router, removing other users, powering down and restarting my Xbox.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for replying. I've actually fully powered down and turned off the plug for my Xbox Series X over the weekend to no avail.

Out of desperation, I have tried all 3 of your advise (there is no updates to be done), and the issue still persisted.

I am able to sign into my main account, but I keep receiving the same error when trying to add a new user.
I am pretty confident my internet is fine as none of my other devices had connectivity issues, and I was able to go online with my existing account too. It's just the part about adding a new account where I kept getting stuck.

Do you know any other ways I can get help? It seems Microsoft's web chat service isn't available

Can you try the following troubleshooting steps below please:

Restart Xbox One:

Turn off your Xbox One, by pressing the power button for 8 to 10 seconds

Then unplug it for three minutes.

Turn the unit back on.

Sign in to Xbox Live.

If it fails, wait for a few minutes and try again.

Check for a system update:

Go to Settings, and then select All Settings.

Go to System.

Select Console info & updates.

Select Update console.

Check Internet Connection:

Xbox One error code 0x80a40019 may occur when your home network or your internet service provider (ISP) has a problem.

Please could you just try this and hopefully it fixes your issue.

Go to Settings

Network Settings

Advanced Network Settings.

Then go to DNS Servers and set it to Manual.

Primary: 8.8.8.8

Secondary: 8.8.4.4

Please restart the Xbox after.

Change to a wired connection or look for a better spot for WIFI connection.

See if your internet speeds is in good condition. Do a benchmark on this website speedtest.net. Also you can try and call your internet service provider (ISP) to see if the connection is in bad condition.

My xbox one keeps showing me the error code 0x80a40019 when I try to sign into my account. It has been doing this for about a day and I've tried everything. I've restart it and unplugged it.
