I keep getting double nat issues

^^^^ This is the answer. Got to disable one of the devices from acting as a router by using "pass through mode" or "bridge mode".

Double NAT means at least two network devices are each creating private network addresses, when there should ideally only be one. For example, you've connected a router to your ISP-provided gateway (or modem/router combo) without first properly configuring
them -- especially if you forward ports on your router, the ported data will not pass through the modem.

If your case is like my example, then you should set your ISP-provided combo unit to "Bridge Mode", so it will only act as a modem, and your router will do
all network address translating (NAT).

Since every device brand and model are different, you will need to look up the manuals or other documentation online to figure out how to log into the device's internal settings via your web browser. If you have never done this before, you may also need
to find the default username and password needed to log in.

Sometimes uou can fix it by just teating each setting and it will open up. Other times its a bit harder. There could be a fire wall on the router preventing the signal for being fully used. You beat bet is to call your ISP and they can walk you through
the steps to open up your connection as it might be effecting other divices and you are not noticing it

Hello, this problem can be solved in two ways.

1. This is hard for many people - set up a static IP address for XBOX and do port forwarding on all the necessary Xbox ports.

The 2nd step is light and will usually solve this problem - contact your ISP and tell him that you need a public IP address to have Open NAT.

He ought to please you. Some providers do this for free, some due to the lack of IP addresses, this has been charged.

But with the transition to IPv6, there will be no problem.
