To answer your inquiry, yes you will be able to retrieve and continue your saved data from Xbox Game Pass. Your saved data is permanently attached to your Microsoft account and automatically stored in the Cloud. You can simply sign in to your Microsoft account and play your Xbox Game Pass games.

However, not all games are saved automatically in Cloud saves. To confirm if your game has a Cloud saves feature, you can check it on the Microsoft Xbox Store under capabilities. Here's an example for the game Remnant 2:

My files were, in fact, able to transfer onto a 1T+ hard drive and I was able to access the saves on it even after removing and plugging it back into the console. All I want to know is if my progress would be saved, just to be sure I have a back up if something goes wrong in the cloud.

After a Mutant Year Zero update all my saves have disappeared (I was in the final mission). I have the xbox game pass for pc and although it's very annoying to start a new game again I'm going to do it, but before I want to back up my save files. And here
it's another problem: where are located the save files? I'm searching for all the web and nobody knows. I want to trust microsoft but again and again they seems to don't know what pc gamers want.

Hey, thanks for getting back. THere has to be another way.. I'm not going to go through resetting my PC just so a game I want to play to fill a little time while waiting for other games to be released will work.. There's no reason I should have to reset my PC like that to play a game I have in my microsoft store to be able to play on microsoft.. There's no other options?

It didn't work, still getting the error code. Will I be able to get all my save games after the factory reset?
