I just updated my Xbox, and now I can't get past the login screen

Have you tried to reset the console to factory defaults?

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

With the console turned off, press and hold the Eject Button and the Pair Button on the console, then, press the Xbox Power Button to turn on the console.

Keep pressing the Eject and Pair Button until you hear a second Beep, then release them.

Your console should be booted into the Troubleshoot menu.

Turn on your controller and select Reset this Xbox > Select Reset and Delete Everything.

If you are using an all-digital console (Xbox Series S or Xbox One S) you just need to press the Pair button, as there is no Eject button on them.

In case it still does not work, you may need to submit a repair request.

I reset the xbox and now I can't get past the update screen as it wont let me update even after a factory reset. Might have to send it back as its within warranty

Just to clarify... my console worked fine without the disc player functioning. Now I can't get past the black screen of death

I am having the same problems and can't figure it out. I was able to play my Xbox before the recent update. That is the one that failed and it wouldn't let me download it. I decide to reset my Xbox and keep all games and apps but now I can't even get past
the it's time to update screen. I'm connected the internet but jeep getting the message saying "your connection is good but there is problems with Xbox services."

Mine still isn't working either just baught the Xbox one x can't get past the update screen im getting so frustrated
