    I just got the Xbox limited edition console and wanted to play gears of war 2 but can't please ...


    So i got the Xbox limited edition console and i was told that it came with the collection. On the official Xbox page saying i had to play before Dec. 31 and i have played but havnt got anything so here is what i read

    "The Xbox 360 Gears of War collection includes Xbox 360 titles Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgment. Each title works as part of the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program. 32GB of hard drive space required. To qualify,
    purchase and redeem Gears of War 4 on Xbox Live by December 31 2016. Tokens for download will be sent in waves through Xbox Live in-dash message system within one month of redemption. Must be 17+. Xbox One, broadband internet (ISP fees apply) and Xbox Live
    membership required"

    After reading i never got a message and what if the message comes later than December 31 will i still be able to download the old games? And how will i know for sure i have them?

    If you purchase and redeem Gears of War 4 on Xbox One or Windows 10 between April 25, 2016, and December 31, 2016, or if you redeem a code for the game as part of a console bundle before December 31, 2016, you'll receive the following Xbox 360 backward-compatible
    games:

    • Gears of War
    • Gears of War 2
    • Gears of War 3
    • Gears of War: Judgment

    These codes are only playable on Xbox 360 or Xbox One.

    The Golden Lancer in Gears of War 3 can only be obtained by 2 methods.

    1. As part of the Limited Edition of Gears of War 2. All who had it in Gears of War 2 will have it in Gears of War 3.

    2. The second way to obtain the Gold Lancer is to get the "Veteran Gear" Achievement in Gears of War 2.

    Do you own the Limited Edition of Gears of War 2 or have the "Veteran Gear" Achievement in Gears of War 2?
