I have the same problem and the bad thing is that I do know who's account it is. He hacked into my Xbox account early last year or two years ago and changed everything. Got my mother to ring Xbox Support and they got it recovered and changed the passwords
to something common then I would change it. I know my password to my own account but not to this hacker's account. I've tried to reset password and filled out the account recovery form but couldn't fulfil it because I don't have his personal details.. Is there
another way to overcome this because I want to be able to know what else is there to do before ringing the Support.

I am in a terrible situation, I need to recover my xbox account since I do not remember the password for the old account.
I need to recover it since yesterday I entered a 3-month code of live, and the account was damaged to my surprise: it was disconnected from xbox live when I started any game.
I saw on youtube and there they advised me to delete the account and download it again, but as if I don't have the password.
I had to delete it and now I don't know how to recover it.
They also advised me to format the hard drive and I already did it, but I don't know how to recover the account.
When I fill out the account recovery form, I don't have enough information to send me a password reconfirmation.
Please help me, I need to recover it since I have three months of live and I don't want to lose them.

to try and recover your account if you have forgotten the password see the following support page, it will have all the steps to try:

If none of the steps on that page will work, then I'm afraid nothing else can be tried

i have the same problem but tried to recover my password my contacting microsoft and filling out a recovering form but they emailed me back and said there is not enough information, so looks like im going to have to make a knew account ?
