From what I understand, the Kombat Pass is no longer required for online play.

However, you will need an Xbox LIVE Gold membership, which you don't seem to have.

If you purchase Mortal Kombat (2011) new it does _not_ come with the Season Pass. The
Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition includes all of the DLC however it's listing for $59.99 (Can).
Mortal Kombat (2011) used is listing for $25.99 (Can) and the Season Pass can then be purchased for 1200 Microsoft Points ($17.40 Can) bringing the total to $43.39 (Can).

Thus, buying it used will be cheaper.

It's a great game. Wait until the end of February so you can buy the Komplete Edition, which comes with all the DLC.
