Ive removed multiple credit cards over the years, myself. And I have never had a problem with M$ charging me for something I didnt purchase myself.

same thing is happening to me but i figured it out i jus pre ordered the game with xbox gift cards nd an actual card it didnt charge either of them nd it said i have the game so i went to mw warzone nd i clicked the option to pre order it i pressed buy again to try nd buy it to make sure i get it nd it said i alrdy own it so it prolly wont charge you till its released so i would say save the money on the xbox gift cards so you have enough to still be able to buy the game if that didnt make any sense reply nd ask me to explain better nd ill go more in depth of it if that makes sense

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you have clarifications with regards to the charges that you receiving from Minecraft Realms.

If you don't recognize a charge on your account, go to the Manage your payments page of your Microsoft account dashboard and select "Investigate".

1. To investigate your bill, visit https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments and use your account.

2. Click Investigate under "Don't recognize a charge on your bank statement?"

3. The credit card that you think was used to make the purchase should be entered.

Every transaction made with that card across all Microsoft accounts will be shown by the system.

4. To see more information, click on the transactions that indicate purchases for these games.

5. A partially hidden email address linked to the purchase will be displayed to you.

6. You can next question other family members whether they recognize the email or see if it appears familiar.

Tip: If you believe someone has acquired your payment info, I would recommend that contact your bank or your payment provider to prevent more charges. Kindly inform them that your card has been compromised.

By doing this, an internal investigation from your bank will be initiated. Once proved that the charges was made by someone else, necessary adjustments will be placed in your credit account.
