I just got an insignia hdtv dvd combo amd i cant get it set up woth my xbox. Can anyone help?

As long as the tv has an HDMI connection you should be able to connect by following the instructions.

You should be able to hook up the xbox right to the tv itself

Blu-ray discs can hold much more data than HD-DVD. Even as much as 400GB. I wouldn't want HD-DVD. My Xbox 1 plays DVD's and my HDTV/console does the upscaling. DVD's are is it only natively in 480p. Where as Blu-ray you get everything in HD. If they haven't
released an Update for Blu-ray 3D support, picture watching a movie of that on a 1080p 40' or bigger HDTV. It would feel just like being there.
