I just got a new headset, but now I can't hear others.

Other people can hear me, but I can't hear them. I've tried everything, resetting my XBox, Nat type, it's not muted, my social thing is set to adult, and i've tried using other headsets. Nothing is fixing it. Please help. I can hear the game audio fine,
and I didn't touch any of the settings.

There are many Xbox services that require open ports on your router. I've included the link to the ports that Xbox has published on their support site.

In addition to that, you might want to check Settings > General > Volume & Audio Output > Chat Mixer and Party Chat Output are set to headphones.

Correction. I can still hear game sounds on my new headset. I just can't hear other people talk.

I actually use my headsets so I don't bother others and so others can't hear how horrible I'm playing lol. It's not a deal breaker for me. I would have greatly liked to have been able to pick up a new headset to go with my new X1 but its okay for now.
I don't have any old headsets to use like some do so I'll just have to live with it. *Shrugs* Can't have everything.

I've managed to do it now, I just put my IP on the DNS and it's set to open now.

I've got another little issue and I'd rather post it here rather than create a new thread. I've got a tritton juba i headset but I can't hear anybody talking although it appears on the screen that they're talking?

so i got this headset because the same issue happened with my other headset so i got a new one thinking it was just broken but now i know it is a much weirder issue
