    I got my invite yesterday. It is pretty cool but there is no way in hell I am going to go for the subscription model. It is very similar to Bungie's Halo stat system.

    My guess about the real reason why the "sharing plan" was dropped.

    I read one of the articles posted yesterday where MS explained this and I got the feeling that removing the digital sharing was them throwing a corporate temper tantrum. Kind of like them saying, "Fine have it your way, I'll just take my ball and go home."

    It is not the insider edition of Minecraft to the best of my knowledge. The day before yesterday my friend (on xbox) was able to join my game. Yesterday when I got home from work I was not able to connect to the game from Xbox. I had my friend try again
    and he failed to connect (and did not get game invites)
