If you purchase a redeemable code for flight simulator deluxe (base game + deluxe upgrade) you don't need the DVD to install the game, once you redeem the code you can install the game using the Xbox app in your PC

I recommend you to return the DVD if possible

I purchased Flight simulator Premium Deluxe (with DVDs) and plan to use on both my desktop or laptop. Can I install it onboth of them using the same license key with the same Windows account?

Will the Activation Code, valid once and granting access to the bonus pack, be available then from the Windows store account to finilize install on both my systems?

Flight Simulator 2020 is available to purchase on DVD or digital download. You cannot copy the download to a PC. If the PC Crashes and it needs reformatting and installing again, you just find it in your game library, and install the game from there.

For licences. For PC, you can install the game on 10 different PCs if you wish, and the game if you purchase it, will always be associated with your Microsoft account, so it is yours forever.

as all copies of flight simulator have been grandfathered to the 40th anniversary edition, the version from the DVDs is no longer relevant and the entire game has to be re-downloaded anyway as it's three years out of date
