I have worked with all your suggestions, and I still cannot solve the problem-the opening page stalls out during "launching" and then shut down.

You have been very much Indepth with working on troubleshooting the system-but I now think it is an application problem. The Win 10 upgrade went ell and worked without any problems-it went from Win Ver. 21H1 to Win V. 22H2.

You have very extensive system knowledge and have been very helpful.

I think now it it s application problem. But I am more convicted that I need to move away from PC/Windows based gaming to console gaming.

Thank you for the extra info, I can advise you couple things more before reaching the game support

A. Create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there

B. Try uninstalling the most recent windows update, just in case its the one causing conflicts

C. If you have an antivirus or similar software in your PC please disable all the protections temporarily and try again

D. Can be a bit odd but try this:
Press Windows button and type Services

On Services App from the list of results, press right-click and run it as administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
Gaming Services

And do this with each of the services listed above:

Right-click over the service and select Properties.
Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic (if not, change it to automatic)
If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services

Restart your PC and try again

E. Run the SFC tool to find and repair possible system corruptions

Hello and thanks you for responding. I was unable to solve the problem, but I would like to answer each item so as maybe you may have an alternative solution.

1) I installed from Microsoft Store/PC Xbox with my Game Pass. I haven't used Steam for some time, and I am giving up on it-I have had too much problem with it. I am currently using PC for Motto 22 and that may be the last time-and I will have to move to a console.

2)Task manager-none to disable-not running any startup.

3)Virtual memory: the allocated is much larger than the recommended.

Is this happening on PC or Xbox?
If it's on PC, are you using windows 10 or 11?
If it's on Xbox, what console do you have?
Is this happening only with this game?

And tell me briefly what did you tried so far to fix this

Thank you, did you downloaded GP22 from Steam? or do you get the game from another store?

In the meantime we can try to isolate the problem a bit more, for this:

A. Open task manager > select the startup tab > disable all the programs listed there temporarily

Restart the PC and try again

B. Do a clean boot in your PC and try again
