I haven't redeemed it but it said I had.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. Based on the message you received, you were granted a $5 Xbox gift card to use in your account and it had to be redeemed by 1/31/2019 and used/consumed within 90 days of redemption. The message
also stated that if you wished to use that $5 in the Minecraft in-game Marketplace (including deals up to 75% off), that the additional discounts would be available for a limited time, ending on 11/26/2018.

This being said, if you redeemed the code, then you should have $5 of Microsoft account credit at your disposal until 90 days after the date of redemption. If you'd like to see when you redeemed the code & see how long you have access to those funds, you
may do so by
logging into your Microsoft account and checking your Order History. You may also view it on your Xbox directly as well by doing the following:

1. To view your purchases, press the Xbox button
   to open the guide.
2. Go to Settings > Xbox Assist > Help.
   
3. Select Purchases & downloads > Purchases >
   How to get purchase history.
4. Select Order history to view your purchases.

Good new! I just checked there mustve been a delay with the money i now have it thanks for the help tho!

The card worked it just didnt put the money on my account i clicked confirm and it said succes but when i went to buy a game it didnt let me and said i had no money
