    I love the rewards program and used to sign in constantly to check surveys and new give always. At a certain point in time a few years back, I stopped receiving any rewards. I tried to have this resolved then and was given the generic answer of "This is
    how you earn points". I have made full game digital purchases and participated in surveys and my account still reads as 0 with no activity at all. It shows my achievements and the newest games I have been playing. I don't understand and I would love to
    have this resolved. I am sure at this point I would have a ton of points but I would really like to see it work again. I used to specifically purchase things for these types of promotions. Please help me out.

    Are there any specific offers you're looking for credits from? In order to receive credits your purchases either have to be eligible for a specific offer on the site at the time, or you need at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates. So it is
    possible to make purchases and still not receive credits.

    Hello SkidDraven,

    You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at Xbox Live Rewards .

    -or-

    2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
    back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. Also, as of July 2014, we do not award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals. In September 2015, we made some refinements to the
    program. One change that happened was an adjustment of MyVIP purchase thresholds. If you did not reach any MyVIP ranks with your purchases from September 2014-August 31st 2015, you were placed at a default rank. Since you are a zero star member, you do not
    get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

    So, essentially, you earn Credits from completing offers. If you make a purchase that is not a part of an offer, you can get Credits from MyVIP payback. In order to be eligible for payback, you must have at least one MyVIP star, and your purchase must not
    be a pre-order, game consumable, or subscription.

    For example, you have not been receiving payback for your purchases since they were neither eligible for an offer and you did not have a MyVIP star. However, your purchase in July was eligible for an offer, and so you received Credits for that purchase.

    If you look at the progress shown on your MyRewards page, you will see that your eligible purchases have brought you very near to your first star. Once you get that first star, you will begin to earn MyVIP payback on your eligible purchases, as described
    above. The reason why you lost your star before, is due to a reset that is performed yearly. The reset this year is scheduled to occur at the end of December, as outlined in the sticky on this forum.

    This forum is for Xbox Live Rewards issues. The Microsoft Rewards program is a separate program, so we are not fully informed on their issues. You should try contacting their support team via the Microsoft Rewards website.

    for help with the Microsoft Rewards program, you'll need to contact their customer support via their redemption page. They are not the same as the Xbox Rewards program.
