I have Xbox Game Bar installed on my laptop and i dont do gaming is it safe to uninstall it?

Having the Xbox Game Bar installed on your PC will not impact the performance when it's not active. So, deleting it will not improve the PC performance.

Uninstalling the game bar shouldn't compromise your PC in any aspect, but as I previously mentioned, I don't think you will notice an improvement in performance.

However, if you still want to remove the app, please copy and paste the following command in a new PowerShell window (run the program as administrator)

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage

I was able to open it before

The only change I have dont is installing a terabyte drive into my computer but game bar was not working before that happened

I have not uninstalled the Xbox app

The version of game bar I have installed is 5.721.12013.0

My computer is not fully updated I will do this now I will post a reply if it works after I update

And I did not mean to type CTRL + G I knew it was Windows key + G

The Xbox Game Bar is embedded in the OS, meaning it cannot be uninstalled. The two Xbox Apps (Xbox & Xbox Console Companion) can be uninstalled if you have them on your laptop.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the companion app and Xbox app from my laptop. I have also run windows troubleshoot to no avail. I also reset the data for game bar, with no results there either.

This is the way i do when i have the game installed, but in my case, i dont have the game installed, and i dont have the disc anymore. Is there any way to uninstall a DLC in this case ?

My game is assassin's creed 4 blackflag, and on the marketplace its notified that my DLC are installed, but the game doesnt appear on the games page (unless its installed... but not my case), i cant remove the 3 titanfall DLCs too, and since I dont have
the game... same problem)
