I have USB headphones and I also have a 3.5 adapter but it doesn't work, what do I do?

If the adapter doesn't work, then I suggest you get compatible headphones

It is possible if you get a 3.5 headphone adapter jack. This will convert the 2.5 headphone connection to a 3.5 connection. Your local electronics shop, amazon or eBay should have what you seek.

You say mic and sound wires. Do you mean you have 2 separate 3.5 mm plugs for your headset, 1 for mic, and 1 for the stereo headphone speakers?

If that is the case you may need to get an adapter to combine the channels into 1 3.5 mm plug.

Yeah that's what I have been doing, just unfortunate that we have to do this. I prefer using the atmos headphones I have. They are only compatible with my xbox or PC. My tv (Sony Bravia 900) doesn't recognize the adapter as a headphone peripheral.

My post/question was more out of frustration. It works one day then doesn't for a week, then works again for another day then.......

i have the trittons and it works for me. the adapter comes with a 3.5(male) to 2.5 (female) connector. so you can do 3.5 to 3.5 straight from the adapter to the headset or a 2.5 from the included connector to 3.5 on the headset. if you dont have one of those
cables, you can go to best buy or walmart and buy a 3.5 to 3.5 and it will work just fine
