If you want the best performance you should leave it on. When you're playing games and connected to the mains, the battery will stop charging when it reaches 100%, it shouldn't do any damage to the battery.

When you're not gaming and using your PC for other things such as watching video and browsing the web, your laptop will use the integrated graphics chip built into your 11th gen i7. This is to insure better battery usage. Your laptop won't use the RTX 3060 unless you're actually playing games.

If heat is your concern, laptops get warm, especially when playing games. Unless there is a hardware fault, your system will thermal throttle when it reaches its designed thermal limit. This may impact on performance, but the reason for the throttling is to prevent damage.

I personally think you should go with a laptop that has the RTX3060.

Since you can never realy future proof a PC, and certainly not a laptop, the the RTX 3060 will likely offer more longevity for future games.

The choice is yours of course, but, as an avid PC gamer, if I were to buy a gaming laptop it would be a 3060 minimum for me.
