I have two gamertags now.

Earlier today I changed my Xbox gamertag from my Xbox 360 and now I have my old tag

li Alvaro il and my new tag that I wanted to replace it rakunari. I thought that the transition did not go through so I payed up again but from Xbox.social or whatever it’s called. It flips back and forth between saying my tag is still li Alvaro il with Rakunari below it in a slightly smaller font size and saying my tag is just “rakunari”. Is there anything I can do to remove my old tag and keep the new one? Thank you in advance. I’ve been stressing over this all day because I want to keep the tag I payed for and only the tag I payed for

Of course, when you get the chance, could you double check your xbox profile on xbox.com and see if the gamertag appears correctly there as well?

Thank you, it’s been one day already and so far Xbox app stopped showing the old tag, but still persists in Xbox live parties and my friends’ friend list. Thank you for the reassurance, and taking the time to reply. Fingers crossed.
