I have to ask permission to buy a game. How do I turn this off?

Hi NicholasStegmann, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

The parent or the organizer account needs to turn this off so you may need to ask them to sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/family so they can manage it for you.

    Minors subscribing to Games Pass

Hello, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

What I can suggest is since the permission isn't coming through, you should turn off permissions on her account and let her buy the subscription, afterwards you turn the ask parent permission back on.

You can see how to do that here https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptio...

I can't buy the game pass without asking permission. But there is no option to ask permission. What should I do?

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community and Merry Christmas.

Hello Jacob, If your account is giving this warning when trying to purchase a subscription, it is because your account is a child or family account.

In order to give permission to the family organizer you have to follow the steps below.

To turn this feature off, follow these steps:

Sign in to your Family page with an adult Microsoft account. Family page settings.

Find the child's name and select More options > Spending.

Under the Ask to buy section, switch Needs organizer approval to buy things to Off."

and I'm like holy crap were did the time go.? But I could definitely see this getting to be a pain while trying to play a game, especially if ur playing multi player. ?.
