No. The series X/S version of the game will only work on the Series X or S.

The only way that would work is if it's a code for the digital deluxe version of the game (which comes with both the series x/s and xbox one versions of the game)

I'm sorry. Xbox Series X games work on an Xbox Series S console, as long as it's a digital version because the Xbox Series S does not have a disc drive.

You may need to purchase the digital version in order for you to play the game. If you just recently purchased the game, you can also check on the store where you purchased it if you can get a replacement wherein you'll ask for a digital code instead of the physical disc game.

Because on my Xbox series x, it only shows 'Optimized for series x/s' but if a xbox series x version of a game is NOT 'optimized' how would i know if I'm playing a series x/s version of a game?

Most games launched for both the Xbox One and Series S/X consoles if installed on a Series S/X console will just download and update the necessary files to run optimized to the Series S/X console.

Now F1 2022 has two versions: the Standard Xbox One version and the Series S/X version. I'm not really sure, but I think the Standard Xbox One version will not update to the optimized Series S/X as it is a different game version.

If I purchase a used CD Xbox One version of Horizon 4, is that going to be 30 FPS and look choppy on my Xbox Series X? Would I need to find a digital version that's optimized for Series S/X that someone has for sale? Where is the best & safest place to do that?
