I got it preloaded with games and when I turn it on it usually gives me the game list where I can select one to begin playing. I recently unplugged it to change the location of it in the house and when i turned it on it took me to the dashboard to update
the date and time. Once I did that and turned the xbox back on it took me back to the dashboard and not the game list like it normally would. I tried turning it on and off hoping to get the game list back but it continues to take me to the dashboard. I checked
the memory and it says all the games are still there and when clicked the game it asks to delete. How can I get my game list back to start playing my games again ?

that sounds like a dodgy xbox (caugh caugh)

you need to take to a console repair shop if you dont know how to do this.

There is a capacitor on the mainboard that keeps the clock live, these unfortunately leak late into there life and can damage the mainboard, it can either be replaced or removed, if removed you will need to set the clock all the time.

as the console is well and truly out of warranty and not made anymore and not supported by microsoft and does not connect to live as that has been switched off, i have no issues in helping you out with this info.

The other bit i cannot assist with as that is piracy.

If you want your old console to keep working you'll either need to remove the capacitor for the real-time clock yourself, or get someone else to remove it.

Failure to remove it will eventually lead to a failed console. When the capacitors fail they leak acid, this leads to corrosion of the motherboard as the acid will eventually destroy the circuits (or tracers) on the mainboard.

Better still would be to get the whole machine cleaned up and re-capped.

Re-capping is a common maintenance procedure with old computer and console hardware. It's why people still have old consoles and arcade machines still running even 40 years on.

We can't help with your games though.
