It was already activated, so I deactivated and then reactivated. The game still asked me to log in to the internet before I hit the front screen, and so the error is still there.

It's asking me to choose between two email addresses, one I use for my laptop and one for my Xbox/tablet. Both my Xbox account and the Microsoft store are linked to my Xbox account, but I fear this may be the cause.

Removing the first account won't interfere with this.

You can change the settings on the second account.

Under Account, select Sign-in, security & PIN.

Select Change my sign-in & security preferences.

Choose No barriers.

I've also had trouble removing my credit card from my Live account. Xbox support removed it from being used to purchase things (they had to cancel my Gold service to do this) but it is still attached to the Live account and is still used for verification
when calling in. My very next call to support after calling to remove the card I was asked the last 4 of my CC.

I have been trying to remove any information that could be used for recovery.

Thanks! However my goal is to remove it from Trusted Devices and not "my Devices" list, so the 2FA will ask me to authenticate again with the second factor.

Btw. what is the consequence of removing the Xbox from my Devices list? Is it described anywhere? Will I lose my games/saves/records/captures/etc?

The App is from the Microsoft Store on the Xbox.

And its not a complete New Account, its my Account I played all the Time on Xbox, I just removed it from the Xbox and now I would choose this Email adresse again, but its like I would add a new one.

(I mean I choose the option "add new" because i removed my old one from the Xbox)
