    Does the consoles audio come through the headset or is it just the mic that is having problems?

    Does the the headset hav an inline volume control and/or mic mute button/switch?

    Hi there,

    What headset do you use? Does it connect to the 3.5 mm audio port or do you own a headset adapter?

    It's recommended to have a headset with an adapter or find the individual headset adapter and update your controller with a USB cable to your Xbox One and have the headset plugged in at the same time when you update your controller. Even if the controller
    is up to date, you can force the firmware update but with the headset plugged in.

    Do you get a warning message that a microphone can't be found or is your audio not being heard by others?

    I also hear audio through my TV

    The Stereo Headset Adapter doesn’t know if you’re using your headset just for chat or for all audio, so TV audio is not automatically muted when you’re using the adapter. You must manually adjust your TV audio volume
    Also have you updated your controller and the headset adapter ?
