Thank you for your reply to my question. Yesterday, my computer did not come on properly and was doing strange things. It did not seem like my computer although my personal files were there. Eventually, I shut the computer down, in frustration, as an alternative to throwing it out of the window. Today, when I switched on, it was back to normal an everything is working properly.

Don't worry, it happens to all of us that we can get attacks of frustration when it doesn't happen what we want to happen, either with the games or with problems with the pc, the good thing was that you found the solution and you could solve your problem, it was a pleasure to help you, have a happy day.

Hi Mary, my name is Oskayra and I would be happy to help.

This may be due to a problem with the taskbar settings or a problem with the system files.

To fix this problem, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check your taskbar settings. Open the Settings application and go to Personalization > Taskbar. In the "Taskbar behavior" section, make sure that the "Show icons in taskbar" option is enabled.

    2. Restart your PC. Sometimes a simple reboot can fix minor problems.

    3. Update your graphics card drivers. Your graphics card drivers may be outdated or corrupt. You can update your graphics card drivers from the manufacturer's website.

    4. Reinstall Windows Explorer. Windows Explorer is the program that displays the icons on the taskbar. You can reinstall Windows Explorer from the command prompt. To do this, open the command prompt as administrator and type the following command:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    5. Restore your PC to a previous point. If you created a restore point before the problem occurred, you can restore your PC to that point. To do this, open the Settings application and go to System > Recovery. In the "Troubleshooting" section, click "Restore your PC".

I hope one of these solutions has helped you.
    Regards, Oskayra

no notificacions in the xbox app

To uninstall the app from your PC

    "Start"

    Settings (Gear Icon)

    Apps

    Click on the app

    Click Uninstall.

I have had no problem with the original Xbox App.

When Game Pass for PC was released I was having trouble launching it.

I re-downloaded the app, I did not uninstall, let it run the first time and then "Pinned" the icon to my taskbar and I have not had any trouble since.

When opened it tonight there was an update.

How to permanently get XBox off the Taskbar

    good evening

The instructions provided in the link you shared are generally correct for removing the Xbox app icon from the taskbar in Windows 10. Here is a summary of the steps:

Right-click on the Xbox app icon in the taskbar and select "Unpin from taskbar". This will remove the icon from the taskbar.

Open the Xbox app from the Start menu or the Windows Store.

Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the app to open the settings.

In the settings, toggle off the "Show me as playing" option.

    Close the Xbox app.

These steps should remove the Xbox app icon from the taskbar and prevent it from reappearing. However, please keep in mind that by disabling the 'show me as playing' feature will prevent your friends from seeing what games you are currently playing or when you were last active.
