be sure to try a power cycle of the console if you haven't yet

try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait until the power supply light turns and remains orange for at least 30 seconds before powering on again:

Also check http://account.microsoft.com to see if the code redeeming is showing at the transactions.

If it's not showing and the item still isn't available in the game then it might be best to contact Xbox Support (via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat) so they can take a more in depth look into the issue to check if maybe something have gone wrong.
