I have not received Dishonored Definitive Edition for preordering Dishonored 2.

The game should show as free to purchase from the store. If it doesn't show as free, post back so support can check.

To clarify, users who pre ordered Dishonored 2 would receive the license for Dishonored: Definitive Edition. No codes were sent for this promotion, you would just need to download the game from the Xbox Store. To qualify though, you needed to pre-order Dishonored
2 prior to it's release date in a supported Xbox Live country as well as a country where the game has been officially released.

Ok found my mistake. You have to download the game from the store, not from the my games section, to get the license to acually play the game. Literally you have to "buy" the game for free.

In regards to not being able to play Dishonored 1, did you check your Purchase History to see if the game was there? I understand that it came free with the pre-order for Dishonored 2, however, are you sure that it went through? I would also recommend
checking to see if it's under your Ready to Install. Did you possibly pre-order the game through another account? If you do not see the game in your order history you may need to
Contact Xbox Support for further assistance.

If you have pre-ordered South Park: Fractured, But Whole and Dishonored 2, you should be able to automatically download South Park: The Stick of Truth and Dishonored without a code. These promotions did not require receiving Xbox Live codes.
