I have no download path in Xbox Gamepass app on PC.

The default path is blank and clicking on it to change opens up a blank area. Any suggestions? I have googled and this was mentioned back in 2019. The administrator locked the forum as it was being revisited an another thread (or something like that), without posting a link to that thread.

Round of applause to the administrator (sarcasm), there may well be a solution, I'll never know......

I've spent the last 4 hours trawling google and youtube and trying many things, although most were related to changing the path to external drive, but I tried them anyway.

I have no path and no way to instal a game on my PC via the gamepass app.

I have installed a game from Epic to ext drive...it worked.

I can instal a game to my PC using the mobile gamepass app. But that will only install to C: drive and no way I can see to change that. This isn't a solution as I have very little room on C: drive.

IMHO a windows reset is often not worth the time, whereas a full reinstall more likely to solve problems. But, as you know, that's a real PITA especially if you have many programs/apps/games installed.

IME it's a full day plus.

It's probably overdue as my PC is also starting to slow down. I just need to organise when it's a good time (which is never lol).

Now I've got an Xbox Series X I tend to use that for playing games now. This only became an issue when I couldn't use it, if that makes sense. I REALLY hate it when I can't fix a PC problem

Thanks for everyone's help. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet, set aside a weekend, and do I full clean windows install. It's the only way to get everything working. It's unlikely to be a hardware problem because I haven't changed any hardware (except adding a series X to my network) since the program was working previously.

This really happens a lot, especially with the latest updates on the windows 10. :/

Usually the OS restore helps, but I get it mate. :/ If you want to wait for an update, no problem, updates of the xbox app are common, especially with windows 11 on its way.

Reinstal windows in the hope that one buggy program might get fixed?

Gamepass works on my xbox, I'll drop ultimate and just pay for normal gamepass until they fix it.

If I was the only person with thus problem, I would consider reinstalling. But I'm not, so it's down to MS to fix their program.

Which include those suggestions and many more. Though to be fair, the videos are about not being able to change save directories rather than not having a directory at all.
