    Follow above as stated just enter in your email address and password for the account that you want to use. If you don't remember it go through account recovery.

    Greetings. Is there a way to change the email address my xbox account is linked too so I can close the old one?

    But that's just an alias and not an actual email account, correct? I don't want to use the original email address in any form. I want a new one linked to my existing xbox profile. Is that possible or is it only aliases?

    The Microsoft account is also an Xbox account.

    If you want to create a new Xbox account, it's only possible to create a new Microsoft account.
