    I have a brand new Xbox One X and an Xbox One S, I have a new Comtrend NexusLink 3240. The technology is pretty new to the area of Montana I live in. The tech when he installed the modem had never installed one like this before.
    He has 30 years of experience. It's a DSL Broadband 25Mbs. It's the fastest of it's kind where we live. I want to change my Nat Type which both my Xbox's see IPv4 but my modem is capable of IPv6. How do I change my NAT settings to something other than Strict
    or Moderate? I can log into my modem from my PC but there are so many setting changes I can do but nothing is as simple as enable or disable.

    On advanced settings, I click onto NAT and the drop down has Virtual Servers, Port Triggering, DMZ Host, IP Address Map and ALG/Pass-Through. Also in the settings on my router there is nothing to enable UPnP either.

    Can't change my nat type.

    Ok so i have the original xbox with the white wifi adapter and i cant connect to good matchmaking games because my nat type is strict. i have gone to the modem settings and changed it to open but it hasn't fixed i was wondering if anyone could help me?

    Help with a strict NAT type

    Hey guys just fixed the strict nat type problem. I have an optimum modem with one cable slot on back for my router. My router was making my nat strict. I put one of those cable spliters into my modem plugged my modem and hardwired xbox cable into the other
    slot on the splitter and nat was then open.

    I have the same problem. Always have moderate or strict nat type... I have tried to fix it on my computer's settings, but nothing changes. I need to fix my nat type dammit and i'm not a computer whiz so I'm lost!!!

    Hey everyone I had this issue and found out that the reason was because of my NAT type being on strict so I tested my Nat type on the xbox one settings and this changed and updated it from strict to open.

    I can now open the Microsoft Reward App without it popping up "Change system location".

    There are a few things that could be the issue lets tackle them one at a time, firstime your DSL modem is actually a router and the first possible cause of issues, if you have never changed settings on it you should do, have a look here:-

    It is possible you will still need further changes on the Linksys to get your NAT Open
