I have my login into Xbox live but since I got a new phone number can’t get in

So I lost my old phone number. I have access to the email that’s on file but every single time I try to login it tries bringing up the old email that was on the account and the old phone number and since there’s no way to contact Microsoft at all for this is there anything else on how I can get in contact with. I’m just trying to get into my Xbox live account. And when I submit a password request form, it says that two-step has been enabled so they have ignored my request.

Sorry to hear about what happened. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. Just to set your expectation, due to our account safety and security, only us the account owners have the ability to recover our accounts and verify their ownership. Even a Microsoft Support cannot recover our accounts on our behalf because they're protected by the security information we have setup on our accounts which we only have access to.

Based on your description, your account's two-step verification is currently enabled. Am I correct? If that so, I am afraid that you really have to get access to the security information you used to setup your two-step verification because it's an extra layer of security on your account which you alone can access it not even Microsoft.

My suggestion here, if it's possible, try to contact your phone provider or telecom if there's any way you could bring back your old phone number for you to easily access or verify your account using it.

Hi!

Appreciate you taking the time to help out, but I tried again today (sorry for the late response) but it still doesn’t work. As I said, I updated my account to my new phone number ******17, but it still doesn’t work. I tried to send a verification but can’t tell if it changed since my new phone number also ends in 17. So do I have to wait until October 14th? I linked a new email to my account.

I can’t get my phone to connect to my Xbox, far too old a model. So my issue is it can’t connect to Xbox live in general and I still can’t start it.

im not sure what you mean. i cant login in to add another phone number and the only verification source attached to the account in question is an email. i dont get an option to add a phone number or use a phone number to get my verification code.

Get a message from Microsoft to tell me they have found unusual activity on my account. I go to login into my account to fix my information. I login with the correct password. They ask for verification via phone number. The phone number I have on file no longer exist so I use the verification form. Fill out the form and says cannot confirm. Rinse and repeat.
