I have lost my Minecraft bedrock world I have checked the saves folder and there is nothing there

    Hello Dan,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you have lost your Minecraft bedrock world and I know how important it is for you to recover it. I understand that you have checked the saves folder and there is nothing there, and that you have also restarted your PC.

There are a few possible causes and solutions for this issue, depending on how you play Minecraft and whether you have a backup or not.

Here are some steps you can try:

    - If you play Minecraft through the Xbox app on Windows 10, you can check if your world is synced to the cloud. To do this, go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking and make sure you are signed in with your Microsoft account. Then, launch Minecraft and see if your world appears in the Play menu. If not, you can try to sync your data manually by going to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Save and clicking on Sync Now.

    - If you play Minecraft through the Microsoft Store app on Windows 10, you can check if your world is stored in a different location. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features and find Minecraft in the list.

Click on it and then click on Advanced options. Under App permissions, make sure that File system is turned on.

Then, open File Explorer and go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds and see if your world folder is there. If not, you can try to restore it from a previous version by right-clicking on the minecraftWorlds folder and choosing Restore previous versions.

    - If you play Minecraft through the Java Edition on Windows 10, you can check if your world is corrupted or deleted. To do this, go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves and see if your world folder is there.
If not, you can try to recover it from the Recycle Bin or from a backup software if you have one. If it is there, but it doesn't show up in the game, you can try to fix it by using a tool like NBTExplorer or MCEdit to edit the level.dat file inside the world folder and make sure that the DataVersion tag matches the version of Minecraft you are playing.

By the way, just a friendly reminder, it's always a good idea to regularly back up your Minecraft worlds to prevent data loss in the future.

I hope this helps you find and restore your Minecraft bedrock world. If none of these steps work, please let me know and I will try to assist you further.

    Sincerely,

The world has disappeared in minecraft

Hi there! This is Virginia O.

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your Minecraft world that disappeared.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

If your Minecraft world disappeared, first check for backups or previous versions, then please restore the world manually by navigating to the saves folder and copying the world folder.

If you have backups enabled (either manually or through a cloud service), look for the most recent backup and restore it.

And then system restore (Windows). To do this, right-click on the saves folder or the specific world folder.

Select "Restore previous versions" to recover an earlier version of the folder.

Next is to check the Saves Folder by navigating to the saves folder on your device. For Windows, go to %appdata%\.minecraft\saves.

See if your world folder is still there. If it is, there might have been a corruption issue.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

How can I sync my bedrock world from my PC to my android phone

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

To sync a Minecraft Bedrock Edition world from a PC to an Android phone, you can follow these steps:

On your PC, go to the "Saved Worlds" folder for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. This folder is usually located at "C:\Users[Yourusername]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds".

Find the world you want to sync in the "Saved Worlds" folder and copy it to a location on your PC that is easy to access, such as the desktop.

Connect your Android phone to your PC using a USB cable.

On your Android phone, open the "Files" app.

In the "Files" app, navigate to the folder where you want to save the world on your Android phone.

On your PC, drag the world folder from its current location and drop it into the folder on your Android phone.

Once the transfer is complete, disconnect your Android phone from your PC.

On your Android phone, open Minecraft Bedrock Edition and select the world you just transferred from the "Saved Worlds" menu.

I hope these steps help you sync your Minecraft Bedrock Edition world from your PC to your Android phone.

I loaded onto my Minecraft on xbox series s and my survival world has disappeared i tried restarting it and its still gone

Got it. If your Minecraft world has disappeared on your Xbox Series S, try the following solutions:

    1. Sync Old Worlds:

Launch Minecraft on your Xbox, navigate to the "Play" menu, and find and select the "Sync Old Worlds" option.

    2. Restore Saved Data:

From the Xbox menu, go to "Manage Game" and then "Saved Data".

Select the Minecraft game and delete the saved data for this console only.

    Uninstall and reinstall the game.

    3. Check Backups:

If you have previously backed up your world, try restoring them.

    4. Check Saves Folder:

Check if your world folder still exists in the "saves" folder in your Windows user directory.

If you find the folder, try loading the world directly from your computer.
