I have internet but Xbox refuses connect!

I'll start of by saying this isn't an issue on my side, my internet is running perfectly for what it is, all my other devices work perfectly.

Started two weeks ago, constantly asked for help but report function, chatting to "Gamer" is pointless can't even ask basic questions, can't even report via Xbox anymore just frustrated.

My Xbox is working fine, it's not older than 3 years I think? It says it's connected perfectly fine to the internet with an open bar everything points to me being connected which is true as I'm still able to play games and watch 4k YouTube happily on it.

But on my home page it's constantly asking at the bottom to "Connect to the Xbox network" which means I can't use chats, party's, other sharing features oh and I can't access the content I get with my ultimate subscription! I've tried mostly everything as a guy whos techy except a full hardware reset as I'd rather not have to wipe everything to get an issue sorted that's not even my fault (hopefully).

Just don't get what's going on? I just want to be able to talk to friends, get my free **** and chill but it's been destroying my fun over these two weeks.

Any useful help would be much appreciated. Can't even connect to Xbox phone service it constantly brakes.

First, thank you so much for contacting us regarding your inquiry/ concern.

This is a common occurence when it comes to pending updates or even built up the cache. Restarting the console may not work as its simply going into a standby mode then back to on so we often need to completely power it off which may even require us to remove the power cord to ensure the console is OFF. Doing this will remove the cache and allow a fresh start up and actually resolves alot of issues from Installation problems all the way to actions not being recognized.

---- FIXED ITSELF AFTER REPEAT ASKING FOR UPDATE -------

SO FINALLY AFTER TWO WEEK!!!

I kept trying to ask previously to check for updates but there were none, I previously restarted the Xbox but nothing happened but strangely I restarted it again after this post to double check and wham an update now I don't know if this is a concidence or my Xbox bugged and didn't allow a previous update for two weeks but I can finally do the things I couldn't before.

I can finally relax, but this just showed me how awful Xboxes support services are and makes me seriously buying a back up PS4 or 5 just in case this happens again because being disabled I can't get out and Xbox is my main communication platform though I should setup a discord for friends or something! I just need a hug after this, way to tired to deal with this company lmao reminds me of my time with Samsung

I'm having the same problem. I have an internet connection and didn't have any problems completing the daily challenges. The game refuses to allow me into the Spider Tournament, saying I don't have an internet connection. Obviously, I do have an internet
connection or I wouldn't be posting this online.

I'm having the same problem,,will not let me connect internet works fine and if I plug in ethernet cable it works but refuses to connect to wireless????????

Unfortunately my xbox refuses to accept even an internet connection now. The modem that it is connected to tells me that an internet connection is present, but the Xbox seems unable to receive it. Again, i just bought a new ethernet cable, so it can't be
that, could it be an issue with my xbox?
