Xbox says fine for 10bit at 24hz but not at 50 or 60hz.it runs through my av receiver.its fine connected straight to the tv.

Thanks. Its a pioneer vsx933. I think ive tried most things on the quite basic menu.

Could you give us some details of this receiver please such the model number? Perhaps there is something you've missed?

Thanks.i did go back to the shop i got the receiver from.we tried 3 different receivers and all were the same.i have since sent email to pioneer for help.as usual they aint quick to answer.nothing in the manual or their website of any help.

It sounds like it's an issue with your AV receiver. I suggest you check the manual for the receiver to check if there is anything you can do to fix it. If you have not got the manual, then a quick search on the manufacturers website should help you find
what you need.

You'll be able to set the output of the Xbox One X to 1080p, and if a game supports HDR then the console will use it, I mean the Xbox One S supports HDR, so no reason why the Xbox One X would only allow it at 4K.

Thanks, I hope that is the case. The S will not allow HDR unless output is set to 4K. Not to tout the PS4 Pro but it told me my projector would not support HDR in 4K but offered up "2k HDR" as an option. I would hope the X was as elegant.
