But even after getting the update that doesn't mean you will actually be able to use it offline. Some games require a connection to be able to okay even the for single player campaign.

If you aren't going to play modern warfare multiplayer then you could always play the game offline. That way you will never have to update it. The downside is you would always have to go to settings to take your console offline. Then you would have
to make sure your xbox wasn't set to auto update games. And the update fixes alot of issues with the game. Or you could download a little bit of the update, pause it and come back to it another time. Everytime you reinserted the disc it should resume updating
but this might take awhile too.

That’s a shame. I had to download it twice in a day because of a problem (the game got deleted because i accidentally pressed the delete button of an update)

first day patches are always really big for cods.

If you put the disc in your console, you will be prompted to do an update, do not update, just let the game install from the disc to start with.

If you have a friend with the game you can connect your console to their network and copy the game from their console to yours over their wifi network, or you can use an external Hard Drive to copy the game from their console to the hard drive, then move
it from the hard drive to your console.

It is for Modern Warfare 3, any other game I can download the updates, I have tried, but Mode Warfare 3 doesnt want to download
