    I have bought games, and used wrong card holders name, will the payment go through?


    I have bought games with prepaid mastercard gifts (Paygoo Gift) and bought games on microsoft store. The orders says completed, even though I wrote wrong card holders name. I used my own name, or something random instead of what the card told me to use.
    (I didnt read it :/) On the webside of the card provider, they say the purchase will fail if I use wrong card holder name. On microsofts pages, the orders says completed. Can the payment go through even though I used wrong card holders name and billing adress?

    My Credit Card was declined, and now i cant renew my live.

    I was suspended off xbox live until i updated my payment method because the credit card I used got canceled. So I bought a 3 month card today and it said prepaid codes cannot be used until any billing violation has been removed. When i try to go to Manage
    Payment Options, it says I've found a glitch in the system. I can't delete the payment option via xbox either. How do I get rid of this payment option so I can renew my Live?

    How to Manage your Xbox LIVE payment options

    Overview

    You can choose to use more than one payment method for your Xbox LIVE account. The payment options include credit cards and PayPal accounts. You can use these payment options to buy items from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

    The 2-year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract uses only credit cards as the payment option. The other payment options like Debit Cards, Prepaid cards and PayPal are not valid for this subscription. However, you can change your payment to another credit card.

    If it is before the end of the two years and there is no credit card associated with your account, it is assumed you have terminated the subscription, and you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and any applicable taxes.

    It is easy to edit your payment options on your console or at Xbox.com

    Steps to Follow

    Add or change a payment option using your console

    1) Use your Xbox LIVE gamertag to Sign in.

    2) Proceed to Settings and then select Account.

    3) Select Manage Payment Options, and then choose either of the following:
    • If you want to add a new credit card, select Add Credit Card.
    • If you want to use your PayPal account on Xbox LIVE, select Add PayPal. You will be required to enter your PayPal username and password. Follow the instructions to add PayPal as a payment option. You cannot use PayPal as a payment option for the 2 year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract. PayPal is not available in all regions.
    4) After making changes to payment options, select Update Payment Option.

    Add or Change a payment option on Xbox.com

    1) Go to My Account.

    2) Select Payments and Billings and click on Manage Payment Options.

    3) You may be required to Sign in using your Microsoft account (email and password).

    4) Proceed to do either of the following:

    If you want to edit a payment option, select Edit.

    If you want to add a payment option, you can do either of the following:
    • Click on Add New Credit Card and enter the credit card information
    • Click on PAY with PayPal and follow the instructions.

    I can't add a payment method

    Both my account region and my payment region are Vietnam. The problem is when I add payment, the checker said that my card information is wrong despite I type-in what write in my card correctly multiple time(card holder and CVV).

    The biggest issue with the EFA plan is when people want to switch the console to a new user before its paid off. If the card holder no longer wants the payments and wants to have the console holder take over payments, I'm not sure what kind of support can
    be made on that since the card holder is the one who signed the contract. Just a word of advice, if you two break up, just let her keep the console, it will make your life soooooo much easier, unless she bought it with your card, then I don't know what to
    say.

    Hi everyone,

    Is this issue occurring when you're trying to add a payment mothed on your account, or select an already mothed that you have in attempt to purchase the game?

    If not, could you please try to add your payment mothed first on Microsoft's Billing site (

    account.microsoft.com/.../payments     ) and then try to purchase the game and selecting the payment mothed you added to see if that works.

    I've found the solution… the problem seems to be the credit/debit card holder name, I have 3 credit cards , in 2 of them, my name appears as "Jack Tellez R", in the other one, just sais "Jack Tellez", the 3 CC has enough balance, but the last one, without
    the "R" or "R." was the only one that let me buy the game… try different options with the last names…

    Actually my Paypal and my Amex have always worked and the names are all good but now the payments fail only with Microsoft.
