Hello, I have not used the hotspot method or anything else to do with my mobile phone as my phone has not been affected, as has none of the other pieces of electronic device in my house. My ISP has said that the current wifi should withhold 10 devices which at a maximum occupancy it has previously done so and continues to do so but will not connect to the Xbox console itself, even when there is only 2 devices using the WiFi

We appreciate on responding on this thread in regards with your concern and I appreciate that if you did have connected to seek help on your ISP about your internet connection that is also much appreciated. Yes! We know that there is nothing wrong with your mobile device since it is not affected, but we are trying to isolate the issue of your device if it can get signal or connection using Mobile Hotspot using your phone.

Yes! We understand that Wi-Fi connections has a highly range of connections and can connect to 2 or more devices but as we need to isolate as well that your device is not connecting to your Wi-Fi connection. We can try to use your Mobile Hotspot on your phone and try your device to connect to the Mobile Hotspot on your phone if we can see if it can connect.

I do understand the urgency of you wanting to find other ways for this issue of yours in regards with your internet connection issues. We are very glad to help you out to find some of the best possible options and troubleshooting's that we can provide for you.

We just want to set your proper expectations on this, that we have isolated that the main issue of your concern today is connecting to your internet connection, and we do believe that the factors of this might tend to be issues within your specific Internet Connection/Internet Service Provider since you are trying to connect it on your devices, and it is not responding to connect.

Before anything else, based on your description, you have used your computer and used commands on CMD to reconnect on your connection and changed manually as well and reset your Xbox several times.

To get started with this, I'd like to ask a few questions to better understand the problem that you're facing:

• On the Xbox that you have mentioned, does it mean your Xbox App on your Windows device?
  
• Since you are unable to connect to your internet connection, did you have also tried to connect to the internet using your mobile phone and try connecting it to the Mobile Hotspot connection?
  
• If you are using an Xbox Console. Is your internet connection as well is unable to connect on your Xbox Console and Windows computer?
  

We are asking this as well so that we can be sure if you are using the Xbox app on your computer or if you do have an Xbox Console. For us to isolate the issue and on what we can do more about that as well if you have those 2 devices that is unable to connect to your internet connection.

But for all of those, I can share some possible troubleshooting steps with your internet connection. You can try these steps:

• Turn off your internet router and restart it so that your internet will refresh when connecting.
  
• Initiate Power Cycle: Unplug all wired connections with your internet router on your computer, unplug your router to the power source as well and wait for 30 seconds and after plug it back all in once again. So that your IP address and Internet Service Provider will restart and refresh your internet connection once you reconnect back once again.

Sigh. The thing stopped working again. The error is that the xbox can't obtain an IP address, although I did try using a static IP and it still wouldn't connect. The problem seems to be that my xbox can't connect to the network at all, since when I test
the pc connection it fails at the first step. As before, even if I disable my firewall and use no password for the network, it still doesn't connect saying it can't obtain an IP address. Completely dumbfounded by this thing.
