i have been told that i my xbox profile is not able to join parties

I am aslo having this problem with my account on and off the last couple months now, everything was working fine before I went to bed last night. I have changed nothing! in the last 24 hour on my account, the listed solution above did not work as everything is still saying I should be able to join party chat. I can start my own party chat and have my mates join, but I can not click (join party) on there profiles. I can view party and at the bottom it says "your Xbox is not able to use parties". Why is it everytime something goes wrong with my account its never anything to do with things I can fix on my end and becomes a waiting game for it to fix itself?

Update: What a suprise, I did nothing to my settings and now party chats just started working again.

It seems that you are having issue joining in parties and clubs. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

We would like to ask few questions to help us isolate the issue further.

1. Where did you see that your Xbox profile is not permitted to join parties?

2. What do you mean by "I can still join parties and talk, just can't join them"?

3. What steps have you taken so far to help resolve the issue?

4. Is your account not managed by parent or organizer of Xbox Family Settings app? Child account cannot change the settings for online safety and privacy settings, only parent.

For the meantime, let us check your online safety and privacy settings to make sure that the settings are set to allow and your account is not block from some settings.

• Log in to https://account.xbox.com/settings with Microsoft account.
  
• In the navigation tabs, click Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety
  
• Select Allow for You can create and join clubs, and You can join multiplayer games.
  
• Then click Submit.
  

To enable chat for people not on the friends list:

In the table header:

1. Click Privacy
   
2. Select Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites.
   
3. Select Friends or Everyone then click Submit.
   

To enable adding and removing friends:

• In the navigation tabs click Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety
  
• Select Allow for You can add friends
  
• Click Submit

I've also been experiencing these problems such as when I join a party it lets me join yen disconnects me from the party the then from Xbox live its only been happening for a few weeks and I've called to check with my ISP and they told me that nothing was
wrong.
